Educators

Here at Glen Iris Childcare and Kindergarten, we pride ourselves on providing dedicated, highly-qualified and experienced educators and teachers. They are warm, affectionate and compassionate and are always available for children and families needs.

Whether you have queries or concerns about your child’s experience in care, their development, or things happening at home, our educators are more than willing to share their time, knowledge and support.   

All of our educators work collaboratively to improve practice and relationships through regular team meetings and professional development training. They are willing, open and excited for change and are proactive in providing children with new and engaging play spaces.

The relationships we foster with our families and the local community is of the highest priority. Family participation is always welcomed and encouraged across all aspects of our program. Our educators value contributions from families, and part of our aim is to make your family feel that this is a home away from home.

  Hi, I’m Mel and I’m the Director. I have been working at the centre since 2017. I have my Diploma in Children’s Services, am First Aid trained and have my Food Safety and Child Protection Certificates. I can speak English.

  Aonny Assistant Director& Baby Room Leader

  Hi, I’m Aonny and I’m the Assistant Director and Baby room leader. I have been working at the centre since 2017. I have my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, am First Aid trained and have my Food Safety and Child Protection Certificates. I can speak Thai and English.

  Rochelle Baby Room Assistant

  Hi, I’m Rochelle and I’m the Baby Room Assistant. I have been working at the centre since 2015. I have my Certificate 3 in Children’s Services, am First Aid trained and have my Food Safety and Child Protection Certificates. I can speak English.

  Bhavani Toddler Room Leader

  Hi, I’m Bhavani and I’m the Toddler Room Leader. I have been working at the centre since 2016. I have my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, am First Aid trained and have my Food Safety and Child Protection Certificates. I can speak English and Tamal.

  Priyanka Toddler Room Assistant

  Hi, I’m Priyanka and I’m the Toddler Room Assistant. I have been working at the centre since 2016. I have my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, am First Aid trained and have my Food Safety and Child Protection Certificates. I can speak English, Hindi and Gujarati.

  Jezza 3 Year Old Kinder Teacher

  Hi, I’m Jezza and I’m the 3 year old Kindergarten Teacher. I have been working at the centre since 2022. I have my Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching), am First Aid trained and have my Food Safety and Child Protection Certificates. I can speak English, Tagalog, American Sign Language and Auslan.

  Hi, I’m Vianne and I’m a Casual Reliever. I have been working at the centre since 2021. I have my Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood, am First Aid trained and have my Food Safety and Child Protection Certificates. I can speak English, Malay and a little bit of Mandarin and Cantonese.

  Hi, I’m Kirsten and I’m a Casual Reliever. I have been working at the centre since 2023. I have my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, am First Aid trained and have my Food Safety and Child Protection Certificates. I can speak English, Mandarin and Taiwanese.

  Hi, I’m Zhenyi and I’m a Casual Reliever. I have been working at the centre since 2018. I have my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, am First Aid trained and have my Food Safety and Child Protection Certificates. I can speak English and Mandarin.

  Hi, I’m Gee and I’m the chef. I have been working at the centre since 2019. I have my Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, am First Aid trained and have my Food Safety and Child Protection Certificates. I can speak English and Thai.

  Hi, my name is Naduni and I'm a Toddler Room Assistant. I have been working at the centre since 2024. I have my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and care, am First Aid trained, and have my Food Safety and Child Protection Certificates. I can speak Singhala and English.

  Hi, my name is Lynn and I'm a Casual Reliever. I have been working at the centre since 2023. I have my Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care, am First Aid trained, and have my Food Safety and Child Protection Certificates. I can speak Thai and English.

  Helen 4 YEAR OLD KINDER TEACHER

  Hi, my name is Helen and I am the 4 year old Kinder Teacher. I have been working at the centre since May 2024. I have my Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, am First Aid trained, and have my Food Safety and Child Protection Certificates. I can speak Vietnamese and English.

  Hi, my name is Jenny and I'm a Casual Reliever. I have been working at the centre since July 2024. I am currently studying my Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, am First Aid trained, and have my Food Safety and Child Protection Certificates. I can speak Khmer and English.
